Security & privacy with the SKBF|CSRE webshop

Data security

None of the personal details that you entrust to us and enter in connection with the SKBF|CSRE are passed on to anyone outside the Swiss Coordination Centre for Research in Education. To keep your data as secure as possible – and it should be stated explicitly at this point that there is no such thing as absolute security – we use modern security systems and store your personal data on a secure server. All of the systems in which your customer data is stored are password-protected with us, and accessible only to you. Similarly, data is transmitted only in encrypted form using a modern, secure SSL key which is supported by all common web browsers.

Keep your password safe

A password is always required to access your personal data. You should therefore keep your password safe and confidential, and not pass it on to any third party. We at the SKBF|CSRE do not have access to your password. Should you forget your password, we will generate a new one for you automatically and send it to you by email. We ourselves will never ask you to tell us your password.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files which are saved temporarily by the web server to your computer's hard disk. Cookies are used as part of web technology and do not harm your computer system in any way. Although they identify the computer you are using, they do not contain any personal data, so your privacy is assured. By configuring your browser accordingly you can decide for yourself whether and in what way you permit cookies to be used on your computer. Our cookie stores only your email address, to allow us to display relevant additional information while you are accessing our site. It does not contain any other personal information.

You can prevent cookies being installed by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. Please note, however, that if you do so you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of this website. By using this website, you consent to Google processing the data collected about you in the way and for the purpose described above.

SKBF|CSRE websites contain links to other websites to which the present privacy statement does not apply. The Swiss Coordination Centre for Research in Education accepts no liability whatsoever for the content of linked websites.

Privacy statement concerning the use of Matomo

This website uses the ‘Matomo’ open source web analytics service. Matomo uses what are known as cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer. They permit your use of the website to be analysed. To do this, the information that the cookie generates about your use of this website is stored on our server. IP address information is rendered anonymous before this happens.

The information that the cookie generates about your use of this website is not passed on to any third party. You can prevent cookies being saved by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. Please note, however, that if you do so you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of this website.

If you do not wish your data to be stored and used, you can deactivate these functions. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser to prevent Matomo saving your usage data. When you delete cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted, and you will have to reactivate the opt-out next time you visit our site.

Information, deletion and blockage

You have the right at any time and without charge to receive information about the personal data that has been stored about you, its origin and recipients and the purpose for which it is processed, as well as the right to have it corrected, blocked or deleted. Server log files

The website provider automatically generates and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser sends to us automatically. This information covers:

• Browser type and version
• The operating system you use
• The referrer URL
• The host name of the computer accessing the site
• The time of the server query

This data cannot be traced back to any specific individual, nor is it collated with data from other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data at a later date if we have specific reason to suspect unlawful use of the site.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry using our contact form, the details you provide on the form, including your contact data, will be stored by us so that we can process your enquiry, and in case of any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your permission.

Statement on promotional mails

We hereby reject the use of the contact data published under mandatory publication details to send any promotional materials or information that has not been expressly requested. The operators of these sites expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited mails containing promotional information, in the form of spam, etc.
